Clinical Supervision

Alongside my clinical practice, I supervise pre-licensure clinicians working toward their LCSW or other licenses in Wisconsin and Missouri.

Why I supervise

Supervision is a space to learn, grow, reflect, and connect.  It should be an enjoyable, challenging, and rewarding experience.

What I bring to it

My supervision is grounded in a trauma informed and neuroaffirming approach that honors your way of learning. I am a certified brainspotting practitioner and consultant, a MINT member, certified in Mindful Self-Compassion, and a Certified ADHD Clinical Provider.

If you are looking for a clinical supervisor who is accepting, collaborative, with an authentic and casual yet focused approach - please reach out!

Where I sit on a few things

Neurodivergence is not a deficit or disorder.

Systems of oppression create and amplify mental health and trauma.

Self-disclosure and vulnerability are an important part of therapy, and it takes skill and practice to do it well.

A mental heath diagnosis is a construct. We need to understand this construct because sometimes diagnoses are important part in accessing resources, developing understanding and other reasons.

Supervisors need to care about you and your professional development, growth, and confidence. Supervision time needs to be modeled based on your needs and preferences, supervisors should be available between supervision sessions for consultation and support.

Getting you licensed is the actual goal. This is the bottom line. As a supervisor I am committed to offering any support needed to navigate the complicated licensure system.
