Brainspotting is a brain- and body-based therapy that helps access and process experiences stored deep in the nervous system—often beyond what can be reached through talking alone.
Many people come to Brainspotting after years of insight-oriented therapy and still feel stuck. They may understand why they feel the way they do, but their body continues to react with anxiety, shutdown, overwhelm, or distress. Brainspotting works directly with these physiological responses rather than trying to think them away.
This approach is based on the understanding that the brain and body naturally know how to heal when given the right conditions: safety, attunement, and enough time. By gently focusing attention in a way that engages the midbrain, Brainspotting allows unresolved experiences—such as trauma, chronic stress, or emotional injury—to be processed at a deeper level.
Sessions are typically quieter and more internally focused than traditional talk therapy. You remain fully present and in control, while we follow your nervous system’s pacing. There is no need to relive events, explain details, or force insight. What matters is what your system is ready to process.
